I had a wonderful time photographing Mallory & Kelly’s wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Edward’s University and Mallory was in tears before she even made it down the aisle! But I think my favorite moment was during their reception at Duchman Winery when Kelly belted out Elton John’s “Crocodile Rock” while everyone laughed and cheered him on. And Mallory & Kelly win the award for fastest sprint exit ever. They nearly ran me over!!! Thanks so much to you and your families for having me along!

I had the pleasure of photographing Mandy&Sherman’s gorgeous wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel. Mandy looked absolutely STUNNING, Sherman looked so handsome, and they both were incredibly happy and excited to become husband and wife. The weather was great for their outdoor ceremony, and they exchanged vows under a beautiful chuppah done by the ladies of Pedal Pushers. The ballroom awaited guests for the reception indoors, and it was soooo beautiful!!! And The Atlantics got people out of their seats and onto the dance floor all night long! Wesley 4 months!

I can’t believe how much Wesley has grown!! It was so good to see this little guy again. He’s such a sweet little boy! And he did really great throughout our shoot, although at times he was a bit camera shy. It’s not easy being a model sometimes! I can’t wait to see him again in 4 more months. Rodriguez Family!

The Rodriguez family was in town last week waiting for Hurricane Alex to pass through south Texas. Vanessa and I photographed Keely’s sister, Correne’s wedding a couple of years ago, and we also photographed Correne’s baby boy, Payton. So Keely contacted us to see if we could squeeze in a family photo shoot while they were in town. Even though the weather forecast called for 80% chance of rain here in Austin, you can never really trust the weather man. :) So we went ahead and scheduled a portrait session for Friday and just crossed our fingers that the rain would stop before then. Well, thankfully it didn’t rain at all during our session! Rodriguez family – I had such a great time with you guys! And I’m glad everything worked out for our session!!

Surprise Birthday Party!

I had the pleasure of photographing a Surprise 40th Birthday Party for Mark Janay, organized by his wife, Ellen. It was nice to do something different, and the element of surprise made it that much more fun! The party was held at the beautiful Hotel St. Cecilia, and with Ellen’s careful planning and the help of a couple of Mark’s buddies, Mark had no clue about the surprise. Everyone had a great, relaxed evening celebrating Mark’s 21 (+19) birthday! Thanks for having me along! And I wish you many more years of fun and celebrations!

Nelly+alfred – Royal Oaks Country Club, Houston Texas 06.06.10

I got to travel down to Houston last weekend for Nelly&Alfred’s wedding held at the beautiful Royal Oaks Country Club. Even though I grew up in Houston, I had forgotten how crazy the weather can get, especially in the summertime. About an hour before their outdoor ceremony was going to start, it began POURING down raining!!! But everything pulled together nicely for their ceremony to be moved indoors. I think it ended up being perfect! They were surrounded by their closest family and friends, and I think the indoor setting just added to the intimate feel of the wedding. Thankfully the rain stopped in time for us to head outside for portraits. Nelly&Alfred – thank you for letting me be a part of your day! And thanks for braving the crazy Houston humidity for some beautiful photos! I wish you the BEST!

Nicole+Christian – Barton Creek Resort, Austin Texas Wedding 05.29.10

I had the pleasure of photographing Nicole&Christian’s beautiful wedding at Barton Creek Resort & Spa last weekend. The weather called for a sunny day with 0% chance of rain, but clouds were in the sky and I even heard a few thunders. But Nicole and Christian both stayed so calm and were just excited and anxious to get married! You could tell their friends and family were so happy to be celebrating with them. Thankfully it never actually rained, and the entire night went on without a hitch. Many thanks once again to Britt and her team from Clink for making the night run so smoothly! Nicole&Christian – it was great seeing you again and being a part of your wedding day! I hope you’re having a fabulous time on your honeymoon!!! I wish you the best!
