What a fabulous way to end my 2009 wedding season!  Suzanne&Robert had a beautiful wedding at the Texas Federation of Women’s Club mansion.  It was the perfect setting for their ceremony and reception, and friends and family came from all around the world to celebrate!  One of favorite moments of the night was when Suzanne told me they were about to play belly dancing music.  ”There are belly dancers??”, I asked.  I didn’t remember seeing that on the itinerary… Then she explained that some of her family is Middle Eastern and she’s been belly dancing since she was 6!!!  It was so awesome to see her shaking it on the dance floor!  The entire evening was so laid back and fun.  Rachel from Buon Affare Events kept things running smoothly.  Suzanne and Robert - thanks so much for having me along for your wedding day!!  It has been such a joy to work with you, and I hope you have a FANTASTIC honeymoon!!!

They had an awesome first dance!!  It was beautiful watching them glide across the ballroom dance floor… Primizie provided the yummy-ness.  Mmmmm…. Lavender and Roses provided more yummy-ness… I must say I especially loved the groom’s cake.  :) August Martin with CreativBalance kept the music going all night. I photographed Jill’s bridals last year, and she’s the one that referred me to Suzanne…thanks again, Jill!!  :)

I’m slowly catching up on my blogging!  I photographed Emily&Bob’s wedding last month, and I was honored to be a part of such a sweet and intimate ceremony. The rain kept coming and going all morning, and when I arrived at Chapel Dulcinea that afternoon it had actually stopped!  But as soon as Emily finished getting dressed, it started back up again and kept raining all night. Emily’s brother joked that that’s what they get for having their wedding on the opening weekend of deer season.  :)  But despite the rain, it was still such a sweet wedding, and I’m so glad to have met Emily, Bob, cute little Elle and the rest of their sweet family.  Emily&Bob - thanks for being patient in waiting for this blog post!  :)  I wish you nothing but the best!!!

I love Elisabeth&Kevin!! And ever since their engagement session earlier this year, I’ve been looking forward to seeing them again and photographing their wedding day. Elisabeth looked amazing…I love her smile!! And Kevin looked very handsome, relaxed, and ready to marry his bride. Their wedding was held at the beautiful Mansion at Judges’ Hill, and their sweet friends and family celebrated with them all night long.  Elisabeth and Kevin - thank you SO much for having me be a part of such an amazing day! I hope you had a WONDERFUL honeymoon!!!

Because of the time change, it gets dark so early now! So Kevin and Elisabeth opted to see each other before the ceremony to get some great photos while there was still sunlight outside.

I had the pleasure of meeting little Payton a few weeks ago. He is sooo cute! I first met Correne and Court at their wedding a couple of years ago, and it was great to see them again with their sweet baby boy! Payton was such a trooper! Here are a few of my favorites from the session:

Ready for the big game!

I’m heading out of town tomorrow and have a million things on my To Do list, but I just HAVE to post some photos from Angela&Jeff’s wedding before I leave! Man…I don’t even know where to begin…  What an incredible wedding…   Angela, you looked absolutely AMAZING.  And Jeff, you were quite handsome as well.  Angela&Jeff had a sweet ceremony at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception at the beautiful Four Seasons. Everyone was so excited for these two!  My favorite quote of the night was from Angela’s mom when she first saw Jeff right before the ceremony: “Well, this is it…like a Michael Jackson video or something.”  :)  I love it!!!  If Mom’s referencing MJ, you know it’s gonna be a good night!  Many props to all of the FABULOUS vendors who made the evening so beautiful - you guys ROCK!!  And of course, many many many thanks to Gina from Clink for yet again wow-ing everyone with such a beautiful wedding!

You know things will be beautiful with Ilios lighting.  And Marquee and BBJ always provide such perfect linens. Tina from Prive Floral did an absolutely beautiful job on the flowers! Mariachi Estrella surprised the couple with a private serenade. Josh from Penguin Entertainment ROCKED IT!!! Everyone was dancing all night long! One of my favorites moments of the night was when “Put the Lime in the Coconut” came on and Jeff and his buddies took over the dance floor…AWESOME!

I had the pleasure of photographing Laurie&Pat’s wedding at the Mandola Estate Winery recently.  It was a beautiful evening, and Laurie and Pat are such a great couple.  Friends and family came from all over the world to celebrate, and you could tell everyone was having a blast!  The venue looked amazing, the food was delicious, and I’m sure the wine was fabulous as well.  :)  Oh, and I LOVED Pat’s grooms cake! (A world map showing all the places they’ve traveled to.)  Laurie and Pat, congratulations once again!!  And special thanks to Brook Rogers of Ruby Rogers Studios for coordinating a lovely evening!

When I first met with Juanpablo to talk a little about his upcoming wedding, he described it as being simple, nothing too fancy.  They were planning on having a short ceremony, and their reception wasn’t going to have a lot of the traditional things like a first dance or cake cutting.

Well, that definitely didn’t mean that their big day wasn’t still going to be absolutely beautiful.  Juanpablo & Marissa got married at Mercury Hall, where hundreds (yes…hundreds!) of their dear friends and family packed the cute little venue to celebrate with them.  You could tell these two were SO happy! They were both beaming the entire night!  It was such an incredible and sweet evening…  Juanpablo and Marissa, thank you SO much for having me along for your beautiful wedding day!

Mercury Hall was PACKED! I love it!!

The Nash Hernandez Orchestra kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! Vanessa’s the one that introduced me to Juanpablo and Marissa, and she was a guest at the wedding.  We snapped a few mugs…but, um…  I think we need to work on our poses… 

Things have been BUSY around here!!!  Lots of great weddings… and I’ve fallen behind on my blogging!  I promise to post Marissa&Juanpablo’s wedding and Laurie&Pat’s wedding soon.  But first up - Melissa&Steve!

Their beautiful wedding was held at Melissa’s parent’s house, and it was just perfect. The Meyers were SO welcoming.  I love feeling like I’m right at home!  Melissa and Steve looked absolutely in love, and at one point during the evening Melissa turned to Steve and said, “I’m just so happy!” I couldn’t use a better word to describe the evening.  Everyone was smiling and laughing all night.  Many thanks to Angela from Sweet Sassafras for coordinating this beautiful wedding.

Nothing calms the nerves better than a little Lady Gaga. Melissa and Steve chose to see each other just before the ceremony.

I had the pleasure of photographing Jackie&Brandon’s wedding this past weekend at the beautiful Barr Mansion.  I first met them last fall when I photographed Kady&Paul’s wedding with Vanessa. It was great to see them again. They are so laid back and relaxed…perhaps a little TOO relaxed… The ceremony time was approaching and Jackie was still getting her dress on.  :)  But everyone stayed super calm, and everything went off without a hitch.  They had a beautiful ceremony and reception, surrounded by so many close family and friends. Jackie&Brandon, thank you so much for having me along for your wedding day!  Congrats once again!!
